1 cup (230g) unsalted butter
2 1/4 cups (450g) granulated sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup (120g) all-purpose flour
3/4 cup (90g) unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp salt
1 cup (170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
Melt butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Add sugar and whisk until glossy.
Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla.
Sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold into wet ingredients.
Gently stir in chocolate chips.
Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until edges are set and center is slightly wobbly.
Cool completely before cutting into squares.
Serving suggestion: Enjoy warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Tip: For clean cuts, refrigerate brownies for an hour before slicing.
Storage: Keep in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for a week.
Reheating: Microwave individual squares for 15 seconds for that fresh-baked taste.
